CINNNAMON

Cinnamon was an owner surrender to the sanctuary from a family who purchased her to overcome their fear of snakes. However, once she grew to full size they became afraid of her again and didn't like to feed the size of rat she needed so they no longer wanted her. However, they did spend time making sure she found a good home and did handle her and cared for her well while they had her. She is a very curious girl and loves to be handled. She makes a wonderful scaley  ambassador and can often be found hanging on someones shoulders during house chores.

SCOOTER

Scooter is about a 10 yo river cooter turtle. He was surrendered to us by a cancer patient that no longer could care for him. He was in a small tank with no room to swim and no area to bask. He now enjoys a 75 gallon tank to swim with a custom 3D printed basking area complete with heat and UVB lighting! He can often be found back legs stretched out basking or begging for food.In the warmer months, we plan to install a larger pond area for him to enjoy.

SOCRATES

Socrates is a 6yo sulcata tortoise. He was received as a hatchling and is currently about 35 pounds. He will live up to 100 years and get up to be 100 pounds! Currently he has his own room designed specifically for his needs! In the summer he has an outdoor enclosure he spends his day in! We are planning to design a outdoor enclosure to for him 24/7 for the warmer months in the upcoming year! He loves to walk around the house, move small furniture and soaks in the tub. He also loves shell scratches in wiggles his whole body when I find the right spot. He will come up to you for scratches or to get hand fed his veggies!

A sulcata tortoise is a multigenerational commitment and he is written in Marsha's will for Peyton and will be written into Peyton's will.

SWOOSH

Swoosh is a rescue from a state seizure of several dozen bearded dragons from a hoarding case in MD. He has several scars, missing toes, and is immunocompromised due to the poor conditions he was kept in by his previous owner. He also had a moderate case of MBD. Out of the dozens of dragons, he was the only one who did not need to be humanely euthanized. It took several years of proper lighting, heat, food, and nutrients for him to show that he feels healthy. While he will never completely be healthy, he is as healthy as he can be and shows it! He loves to run, climb, explore, and sit on the warm computer and look out the window. He has a 240gallon tank that is floor height so he can "play" with the dogs and cats through the glass.

FRODO

Frodo was a received from Medusa's Misfits, a reptile only rescue in MD. Frodo is a African Sand Boa who was originally an owner surrender to Medusa's Misfits as his previous owners were tired of him "escaping" despite not having a secure top to his enclosure and not feeding him properly. He is a very small snake and mostly likes to dig tunnels in his enclosure but does enjoy pockets occasionally. He refuses to eat frozen-thawed and eats inconsistently making him difficult to care for.

NIMOY

Nimoy, named after Leonard Nimoy, was Peyton's first reptile and was obtained before we were a sanctuary. He is a leopard gecko and a wonderful Scaley ambassador! He loves to be handled, will take crickets from your hands, and is very adventurous! He is also very vocal and will tell you when he does or does not like something!
